A very neat fourth generation Ford Mustang in Beijing. It appeared to be in good shape and was original inside and out, down to the radio and the alloys.

The 4th gen Mustang was manufactured from 1994 until 2004 with a facelift in 1999. Our Beijing car is a facelifted ‘New Edge’ example. It is a base GT model, powered by a 260 hp 4.6 liter V8.
Some ‘wise’ books say the Mustang name was actually inspired by the Mustang fighter, not by the horse. But if that were so, why idn’t they go for an airplane in the logo, instead of a galloping pony?
Plastic fantastic, America’s worst interior ever? But it has a manual gearbox!
Alloys were typical for the facelifted model. The fourth generation Ford Mustang was never officially marketed in China, but many cars arrived via the gray market and other misty channels, so it is not exactly rare.
Hood scoop is just for show; yez, the Mustang is a really showy car, but unashamedly so, and therefore it is always cool. Always.
