All cars should be red. Proof: this incredible Honda S2000, a crazy roadster with an engine that could rev up to 8800 rpm.

The first generation AP1 Honda S2000 was manufactured from 1999 until 2003. It was not marketed in China so seeing on on the road is a rare pleasure. This particular example was in a very good shape, painted in red with a black top and silver five-spoke wheels.
Interior was in good shape too and completely original. The Honda S2000 was powered by a turbocharged 2.0 VTEC engine with 237 hp and 208 Nm. The engine was mated to a six-speed manual, sending horses to the rear wheels.
Sadly the S2000 never became the success Honda hoped for, mostly because its power was to hard to access for most drivers. Peak power arrived at 8300 rpm, peak torque at 7500, and the redline was at 8800 rpm.
Black license plates were issued to foreign owned companies from the 1980’s to the early 00’s. These companies could buy a car locally, and they were also allowed to import their own cars.
In the old days black-plated cars had some privileges comparable to diplomatic cars; no police officer would dare to stop them and they could basically park wherever they wanted without fear of a fine.
Nowadays, a black-plated car is counted just like all the others. The government does not issue new black plates anymore but those who have one can keep it until eternity. The plates on the S80 T6 or of Hebei Province.
Small license plate area indicates this car was originally exported to the United States, and somehow ended up in China later in its life.
