This gold sedan is a Hyundai Grandeur XG S30, the KDM version of the car internationally known as the Hyundai XG. I found this great looking example in east Beijing.

It is not unusual to see KDM (Korean Domestic Market) cars in China, especially in the north and north east of the country. There is a lot of trade with South Korea, and hundreds of thousands of Koreans live in China, mostly in and around Beijing.
The third generation Hyundai Grandeur XG was made from 1999 until 2005. The S30 model was powered by a 3.0 liter V6 petrol engine with 182 hp. The engine was mated to a 5-speed automatic shifttronic.
The Grandeur was positioned as a mid-size luxury car, and it showed. The interior was dressed up with leather and real wood, although the plastics on the top of the dashboard look a bit too cheap.
Lots of space in the back. The Grandeur XG was 4.8 meter long and had a wheelbase of 2.75 meters, just a little shorter than a contemporary Audi A6.
The international version of the Grandeur XG, the XG, was officially sold in China, so parts and expertise should be easy to get. This however is the very first KDM XG I have ever seen.
The Grandeur name above the license plate. XG on the left.
The unique S30 badge.
