A rough ‘n rugged Toyota Land Cruiser J60, seen on a car market in Beijing. The old ‘Cruiser looked somewhat sad and was seemingly abandoned, covered with a tick layer of dust.

Now that is a speedy sticker! Car inspection correspondence sounds nice.
The Land Cruiser J60 (or 60 Series) was made from 1980 until 1990. There were many engines available over the years. The most common engine was a 4.0 liter six-in-line petrol.
What exactly powers this white example in Beijing is unclear. It could be petrol but it also could be diesel, since this sorta vehicle is often classified as ‘commercial’, meaning it can get around the stringent anti-diesel laws.
The J60 was not officially marketed in China, but many arrived via the gray market or other misty channels. The Chinese government bought hundreds of them for various government entities, including forest-fire patrol and oil exploration. Many of those cars ended up on the second hand market.
The beautiful old Land Cruiser badge.
The Jeep-branded roof rack was an official factory option for the China-made Jeep Cherokee XJ. Note how they have fitted the rack on bars, to deal with the wider roof of the Land Cruiser.
It certainly looks like it has been used a lot, and that is a good thing. Stickers show China, the Dakar rally when it was still in Africa, and the entire world. Did this Toyota really go to all of those places? Well, with a Land Cruiser you never know…
Standing strong.
