This is the Trumpchi GM8, a large MPV from China. Trumpchi is a brand under Guangzhou Auto. They have big plans to launch in the United States, and the GM8 is one of the cars they intend to take.
But the Trumpchi brand name will likely be replaced with something different, due to political considerations😱.
The Trumpchi GM8 was the first MPV of the brand. Soon, Trumpchi will launch the smaller GM6 MPV, which is slated for export as well.
The Trumpchi GM8 is fitted with a very luxurious interior. Lots of leather and wood, a large touch screen, and a fully digital instrument panel.
Power comes from a 2.0 turbocharged petrol with 201 hp and 320 Nm. The engine is mated to a seven-speed automatic, sending horses to the front wheels.
Price starts at 176.800 yuan and ends at 259.800 yuan. The GM8’s main competitors are the Buick GL8 and the Honda Odyssey.
The Trumpchi badge on the dashboard in front of the passenger.
The GM8 seats seven in a 2/2/3 setup. The middle row has two comfortable captain seats with individual entertainment systems.
Not much space for the legs with the middle seat in blowjob position.
It is not easy to make a barge like a large MPV pretty, but I think Trumpchi did a pretty good job. Nice lights.
The T has dropped off. Perhaps Rumpchi is a nice name for America..? The designation 320T has no relation to the engine’s size. The red T is kinda cool on a turbocharged car.
Badge on the left: Guangzhou Auto Trumpchi. Big G in the middle for Guangzhou.
And a giant G on the gigantic grille. Big ‘n shiny like we like it in China!
