Here we have a good looking Opel Vectra 3.6 V6 sedan in China, seen in my compound in Beijing. The good Opel was painted in a very dark shade of blue, almost black. It was in great shape, without any rust or rot.
The third generation Vectra C was manufactured from 2002 until 2008. There was this four door sedan, a five door hatchback, and a five door wagon. The Vectra’s Epsilon platform was also the base for the Opel Signum.
The high end Vectra models looked great inside, with lots of leather and a classy wood trim. The shiny stuff around the gear lever is typical Chinese, just like…
… the floor mates and the tissue box attached to the back of the front seat. Very handy.
The engine of the Opel Vectra 3.2 V6 has an output of 211 hp, good for a speedy 0-100 in 8 seconds and a 246 km/h top speed. Very fast for a mid-size family car! The engine was mated to a five-speed automatic, sending horses to the front wheels.
The Vectra C was officially sold in China, with either the 2.2 liter four or with the 3.2 liter V6. Price of the latter, in 2004, started at 398.000 yuan. Price for the 2.2 started at 308.000 yuan.
Giant rear lights, and a trendy strip between them.
The 3.2 V6 badge on the right side.
The Opel Vectra 3.2 V6 is fine German sedan in China, with a great engine.
