A cool Mercedes-Benz CLK convertible, seen at the Worker’s Stadium in central Beijing. The good Benz is wrapped in a trendy lime-green wrap, and further sexed up with darkened windows, a black convertible roof, and black alloys.
The A209 second generation CLK convertible was made from 2002 until 2010. It was officially sold in China as an import. The convertible was only available as a CLK 240, powered by a 2.6 liter V6 with 177 hp and 240 Nm, mated to a 5-speed automatic. Price was 650.000 yuan.
License plate is interesting. 4 is the most unlucky number in Chinese culture, whereas 8 is the most lucky one. This one got two 4’s and two 8’s. I guess the count each other out.
