A very pretty 997 Porsche 911 Turbo S in China, seen late at night on a quiet road in the capital Beijing in 2013. The speedy Porsche was painted in a pearl-shade of white with a red-brown interior.
Large matte silver alloys with yellow brake pads. The S was basically a dressed-up variant of the standard turbo. The 3.8 liter twin-turbocharged flat six was tuned up to 530 hp and 700 Nm. Gearbox was a 7-speed PDK, sending power to all four wheels. Top speed was 315 km/h and 0-100 was gone in 2.7 seconds.
Note the Jetta taxi en the Fiat Palio in the background.
I’ve always loved the rear of the 997 turbo! Perfect balance between too fat and too thin, with a racy spoiler and fat exhaust pipes.
The 997 911 Turbo S was made from 2010 until 2013. It is very rare in China, somewhat understandable if you look at its 2.78 million price tag!
No license plates. This was not unusual at the time in Beijing for expensive cars. Nowadays it is near-impossible to drive a car without plates on it.
