A very pretty Honda Accord sedan, seen on a car repair market in east Beijing in 2011. The fourth-generation Honda Accord was made from 1989 until 1993. The car was i a pretty good shape and fitted with an old black 京A·03383 license plate.
The license plate number 京A·03383 indicates this Honda was one of the earliest black-plate cars. The numbering started at 京A·00001, and then up.
Black license plates were issued to foreign owned companies from the 1980’s to the mid 00’s. These companies could buy a car locally, or import one. There were no limits on the number of cars, or on price, or engine type.
The interior was in a very good shape, clean for the years, with gray fabric seats, lots of black plastic, and an old-school extra large steering wheel. Gearbox is a five-speed manual.
The fourth-generation Honda Accord was available with 1.8 liter, 2.0, and 2.2 liter petrol engines. Our black car has the ‘F20A’ 2.0 under the bonnet, with an output of 133 hp and 179 Nm. The fourth generation Honda Accord sedan is a very rare car in China. May there be more!
