A very nice Saab 9-3 2.0T Vector, seen in the beach city of Beidaihe in 2017. The good Saab was in a fine shape, painted in a classy shade of silver, with darkened windows and the 5-twin-spoke alloys that were exclusive for the Vector trim level.
The Vector was a sporty variant of the second generation Saab 9-3 sedan, which was based on General Motor’s Epsilon platform, which also underpinned various other cars, including the Opel Vectra, the Saturn Aura, and the Cadillac BLS.
The Saab 9-3 2.0T Vector was powered by a 2.0 turbo petrol engine with an output of 210 hp and 300 Nm. The motor was mated to a 5-speed automatic sending all horses to the front wheels.
The Saab 9-3 sedan was officially sold in China, alongside the the 9-3 Cabriolet and even the SportCombi. Sales, however, were very slow due to the high pricing, and the relatively unfamiliarity of Chinese car buyers with the Saab brand. Price of the 2.0T Vector sedan started at 460.000 yuan, and today this Swedish sports sedan is a very rare sight on the road.
