A rare Citroen c-Quatre 20 Years Edition, seen in Beijing in 2016. The special Frenchman was in a great shape, looking very classy. The Citroen c-Quatre was a compact car made in sedan and hatchback form from 2008 until 2016.
The c-Quatre was manufactured by the Dongfeng-PSA joint venture, which was founded in 1992. The Citroen c-Quatre 20 Years Edition was launched in 2012 to celebrate the 20 years anniversary of the business. It came only in dark red, and was fitted with a 20 Years Edition fuel cap, a 20 Years Edition badge on the back, and with a fully loaded interior.
The doors had panels in the same color as the exterior. The faux leather seat covers are an after-market addition by the owner. Kind of kinky, really, especially in combination with Citroen’s massive shiny gear knob.
The base c-Quatre sedan was available with a 1.6 and a 2.0. The 20 Years Edition came only with the 2.0. I guess Citroen’s PR people really liked the 2.0/20 years idea! Output was 147 hp and 200 Nm, good for a 205 km/h top speed. Gearbox was a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic.
The badge on the back. The c-Quatre 20 Years Edition was priced at 138.880 yuan, which was basically the same price as a standard 2.0. The 20 Years Edition was only available for a year and they are therefore pretty rare – collectors be aware.
