An enormous Chrysler 300C stretched limousine, seen in the winter of 2019 in China’s Hebei Province. The 300C was extended by at least five meters in the middle, making it the longest 300C I had ever seen.
The extension was likely done locally, there are many Chinese companies that convert perfectly fine sedans into odd limousines these days. The work appeared to be a bit shoddy, with huge panel gaps, especially around the rear door.
The seats and dash were in good shape. The radio-cs system was replaced with a control unit for the sounds and lights in the party-area in the rear. Sadly the windows were darkened so much that it was impossible to take a photo.
The Chrysler 300C was made in China from 2006 until 2009 by Beijing-Benz DaimlerChrysler Automotive Corporation (BBDC). It was available with a 207 hp 2.7, a 255 hp 3.5, and with the 342 hp 5.7 liter V8. The locally-made V8 model is ultra rare as it was 1.5 times as expensive as the V6 models. It seems likely that the stretched limousine is based on a BBDC car, but certain it ain’t as Chrysler also sold an imported version in China.
The limousine had Bentley badges for and aft and a small VIP badge at the lower left. It is too long o qualify for normal blue passenger car license plates so it has yellow commercial vehicle plates indeed. Plate is from Tianjin Municipality.
It had snowed a lot earlier that week, and I got into a small snow storm that very morning, so the Chrysler 300C stretched limousine was a bit dirty. It’ll look much better when cleaned up!
