An ultra speedy Porsche Cayenne TechArt Magnum, seen in 2013 parked in front of the gigantic China Import and Export Fair Pazhou Complex in the great city of Guangzhou in Guangdong Province.
The Magnum was the ultimate modification of the second generation Porsche Cayenne by German tuner TechArt. It came with an outrageous body kit and loads of extra horses. This particular example was painted in orange brown with a matte gray grille and matte gray alloys.
Windows are darkened for extra privacy. Massive twin-exhaust pipes at the bottom and a large spoiler-wing combination at the top. Power comes from a heavily tuned 4,5 liter V8 engine. TechArt pimped it up to 680 hp and 900nm, good for a 300 km/h top speed, a 0-100 of 4.2 seconds and a 0-200 of only 14.2 seconds.
Magnum badge is brilliant. Understated, and yet it spells speed.
Fast SUV’s are very popular in China, but even the fastest factory cars are not fast enough for most buyers, so they go to tuners like TechArt and Hamann. The more power they offer the better they sell. But not everybody in China likes the Magnum…
I was actually at the venue for a boat show, where various Chinese boat makers showed off mid-size luxury yachts and such. This is the jet-powered GCK760, build by a company called GCK Boat. Sadly they no longer seem in business. Their website is down and their FB page was last updated in 2016. I really liked this boat.
Happily I also met a very pretty girl doing her thing with a Yamaha FZS Waverunner Jet Ski. It is probably unsafe to operate this very fast machine with such shoes, but then again, it wasn’t really in the water.
I may post some more pics of this 2013 boat show in a later post.
