A Ford Focus sedan, seen on south central Beijing in February 2013. The good Focus was severely sexed up, changing the otherwise rather boring sedan in a true babe magnet.
The main modification is the addition of a body kit, including side skirts, widened front and rear fenders, and new bumpers. The kit is complemented by a rear spoiler, tinted windows, and very pretty alloy wheels. The striking light green shade was not a factory color but as far as I could see it was painted on, and not a wrap. The color was applied over he entire body, with the mirrors and door handles. The window frame and pillars were left in black.
The alloy wheels looked great, with racy bolts on the center. Color was a sort of polished-metal, contrasting very nicely with green. The brake calipers were red, but in a size so small they were barely visible.
Big pipe on the left side, with faux air vents in the bumper.
The second generation Ford Focus was made in China from 2005 until 2014 at the Changan-Ford joint venture in sedan and 5-door hatchback forms. It was very popular at the time, seen as a more luxury alternative to cars made by Volkswagen or Buick. It was available with 1.6, 1.8, and 2.0 liter engines.
Considering the headlights, our modified Focus is a 2005-2008 example. Base price of the sedan (2008) was 123.800 yuan. Body kits come in all sorts of quality and sorts in China, but a kit as comprehensive as this one did cost at least 10.000 yuan or thereabout.
