A beautiful Audi RS6 Avant, seen in Beijing in 2018. The speedy wagon was brand new and it looked brilliant in a dark purple shade with matte gray detailing and black wheels.
The interior was typical Audi and typical German: as dark and gray as possible. Dark leather-suede seats and a dark dash with a dark steering wheel. The wildest thing is the carbon fiber trim on dash and around the gear lever.
The wheels are a work of art, looking like a medieval weapon. The ventilated brake discs are mated to red RS-branded brake calipers.
More wildness in the shape of red safety belts.
The third generation Audi RS6 (C7)was made from 2013 until 2018. It was officially sold in China as an import for a very steep 1.35 million yuan. Power came from a twin-turbocharged 4.0 liter V8 engine, good for an output of 553 hp and 700 Nm. The engine was mated to an eight-speed tiptronic automatic, sending horses to all four wheels. Top speed was limited to 250 km/h and 0-100 was gone in 3.9 seconds. That speed came with a price: in China, fuel consumption of the RS6 was rated at 10 liters per 100 kilometers.
Mirror housings in matte gray.
The RS6 badge at the back.
The Audi RS6 is a relatively rare car in China, but there is a small and fanatic following for fast wagons, so on track days it is not unusual to see quite a few of these together.
