A Baojun 310W wagon, seen near a Baojun dealer in Beijing in 2017. The 310W was in a great shape, wrapped in a Bape-themed wrap and further dressed up with darkened windows, racy matte gray alloy wheels, and a ski box on the roof.
Baojun is a brand under SAIC-GM-Wuling (SGMW). The 310W was a subcompact wagon version of the Baojun 310 hatchback. The 310W was made from 2016 until 2021, with an early facelift in 2018. Our car is a rare pre-facelift example.
Bape (Bathing Ape) is a Japanese clothing company, very popular in Asia. Bape wraps were a big thing in China in the 2010’s, with all sorts of cars wrapped in Bape’s typical camouflage pattern. The wrap on the Baojun was of reasonable good quality.
The interior was basic but nice, with a 9-inch infotainment screen in the middle. The seats of this Bape wagon need some cleaning.
The Baojin 310W was available with two four-cylinder gasoline engines: a 1.2 with 82 hp and 116 Nm and a 1.5 with 112 hp and 147 Nm. Both engines were mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. Size: 4620/1710/1515, wit a 2750 wheelbase.
The 18 inch tires are factory standard but the alloy wheels are after-market. They look cool on the 310W, especially in this matte gray color.
The wrap is neatly applied over the mirrors, bumpers, roof, and even on the ski box. The roof rails were a popular factory options but the ski box itself is after market. In 2017, price of the 310W started at just 42.800 yuan, which really was a good deal for the amount of car you got. A Bape wrap of this quality cost about 5000 yuan.
