A speedy Toyota Reiz, seen in Beijing in 2013. The good Toyota was slightly modified and with good effect. It was fitted with a big body kit including new bumpers, a new hood, grille, side skirts, and a huge wing on the back.
The kit was of mediocre quality and showed many cracks. But who cares? Suspension was lowered too, and it had wide racing style tires with red-silver alloys and yellow brake calipers.
The sides were sired with a wild set of decals depicting white flames. It had darkened windows and a blue main-wrap. Eye catcher is the wing, adjustable of course, towering over the roof.
The first generation (X120) Toyota Reiz, aka Toyota Mark X, was made in China by the FAW-Toyota joint venture from 2005 until 2009. It was available with a 2.5 V6 with 197 hp and a 3.0 V6 with 231 hp. Power went to the rear wheels via a 6-speed automatic gearbox. Prices in 2009 started at 228.800 yuan. Later on, FAW-Toyota also manufactured the second generation Reiz/Mark X, from 2010 until 2017.
