We at CoolCarsInChina are in a wrappy mood today so we’ll show you many old pics of wrapped cars in China. This here is a Subaru Outback wagon, seen in Beijing in 2013. The wuzzy Subaru is wrapped in a matte purple wrap, and further prettified with darkened windows, shiny window frames, shiny B and C pillars, and shiny door handles.
The matte purple wrap was of good quality and properly applied over the entire car. The shiny pillars are actually wrapped too, in a separate shiny silver wrap. The wheels are standard and that is a bit of a let down, they are a tad too boring, and small, in contrast to the work done to make the rest of the car as pretty as it is.
The Subaru Outback was imported into China. Like elsewhere in the world, it was a typical niche market car; selling slow as hell but loved to heavens by those who owned one. Prices in 2013 started at 314.800 yuan. It was available with two engines: a 2.5 liter four-cylinder boxer with 173 hp and a big pretty badass 3.6 liter six-cylinder boxer with 260 hp. The wrappy purple car that I saw has the four-pot under the hood.
