We stay on the wrapped-car theme for a little longer tonight. This is a Suzuki Swift, a car that I am very familiar with because my wife owned one in China. But hers didn’t look like this! This one is wrapped in a matte orange wrap, and dressed up way further with darkened windows, custom headlights, matte black bumper pieces, an orange dashboard, orange mirrors, and super cool wide tires with silver-orange wire alloys.
The wrap was of a high quality and smoothly applied over the entire car, including the roof, mirrors, door handles, and even the roof spoiler. The Swift was a bit dirty but that didn’t distract too much from its orange prettiness.
What’s going on here..?
The first generation Suzuki Swift was made in China by the Changan-Suzuki joint venture from 2005 until 2018 (!) with numerous updates and facelifts in between. The car we have here is a 2011-2013 example, powered by a 1.5 liter ‘VVT’ four-cylinder petrol engine, good for 103 hp and 138 Nm. The engine was mated to a 4-speed automatic of a 5-speed manual. Price started at 91.800 yuan. Modifying your car is cheap in China, I bet the entire work on this Swift didn’t cost much more than 10.000 yuan! Good deal for so much Swiftly coolness.
