The Honda Accord 1 Million Anniversary Edition was launched in 2010 and is based on the eight-generation Honda Accord. It was a special edition that celebrated the one-millionth China-made Honda Accord. Production of the Accord in China started in 2004 at the Guangzhou-Honda joint venture, known today as GAC-Honda or Guangqi-Honda.
The 1 Million Anniversary Edition was loaded with all options, and it had these super cool badges on the C-pillar. The badge mixes silver and gold with a large ‘1’ in the middle. I have an official dealer 1:43 model of the 1 Million Anniversary Edition with super-oversized badges. I will dig it up and post some pictures later on.
The 1 Million Edition was only sold in 2010. In that year, the Guangzhou-Honda Accord was available with three engines: a 2.0, a 2.4, and a 3.5-liter V6. The 1 Million Edition, however, only came with the 2.4-liter four.
Output was 179 hp and 225 Nm. The transmission was a five-speed automatic. The Accord was a front-wheel drive car. The top speed was 203 km/h and 0-100 took a somewhat slow 12.5 seconds. Fuel consumption was 8.8 liters per 100 kilometers. The 1 Million Edition sold for 229.800 RMB, 10.000 RMB more than the standard car. Was it worth the extra cash? Sure so, any special edition is cool, and 1 million editions are cooler still.
