This car is a US-spec Hino Ranger FB. Last week a big meeting was held in this hotel, then our Hino just showed up and did its work, which was a surprise.
The truck shown is legally imported from America, and it’s the 4th generation of Hino Ranger, which is known as Hino 500 now. About the story behind this car still remains a mystery.
The car is China Unicom’s emergency communication car. Last week there was a big meeting, so this car was parked here to finish its job.
However, in fact, this generation of Hino Ranger was never officially imported to China.
The really interesting thing is itself. In China trucks have to be scrapped or put out of use after 15 years of its production. Some of its signs just saying that it should be scrapped in 2016. But it didn’t and still being used.
What a truck.
Now it’s hard to spot a Hino in China, let alone a Ranger. This is surely a pretty rare one.
