Tank 300 SUV Is Pink In China

Tank 300

Nothing is better than a pink Tank on a rainy Wednesday afternoon. And here we have one! This is a Tank 300 SUV wrapped in pink, seen on a car modification market in the Chinese capital Beijing.

The T logo and the grille’s bars are covered with glitter.

Tank is a Chinese SUV brand owned by Great Wall Motors (GWM). The Tank 300 is a mid-size SUV launched in 2020. It has rugged off-road looks and has been a huge sales success for Tank. The 300 is available in dozens of variants and special editions.

Roof-based stuffed cartoon animals are a popular car accessory in China.

The wrap was beautifully done, clearly the work of an expert. The wrap extended to all corners of the car, including the mirrors, the door handles, and the spare wheel covers. The windows were darkened to the max, making for a great contrast with the pink body.

The interior was totally stripped out for some serious work. Common modifications include new upholstery, new door trim, extra sound deadening, and a big fat audio system. There is a plastic stool so staff can drive the vehicle around the area.

The Tank 300 base model, like this one, is powered by a 2.0-liter gasoline engine with an output of 227 hp and 387 Nm. The engine is mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox, powering all wheels. The top speed is 175 km/h and 0-100 takes 9.9 seconds. Tanks also sells a 3.0 V6 model, called the Tank 330.

Badges on the back: TANK in capitals. Below: 坦克300 (Tǎnkè 300). The 300 is based on a heavily modernized body-on-frame chassis. Many Chinese car makers use body-on-frame technology for new off-road capable vehicles.

The current Tank 300 2.0 turbo sells for $28.5K. A wrap of this quality costs at least 1K these days, and the rest of the work will cost a lot too. But I do not doubt that the result will be great, a great pink Tank!
