The after-market 20-inch Michelin tires fill the wheel arches nicely! The standard wheels of this model were 19-inch. Porsche produced the ‘997’ sixth-generation 911 from 2004 until 2013, with a facelift in 2009. The car in the photos is a post-facelift example, commonly called the 997.2 or 997 Gen II.
Porsche 911 Interior
A perfect interior with red-brown leather, chrome around the gear lever, and an all-black center stack. The leather shows a little wear, and that’s great because it means the owner has done a lot of driving in this Porsche!
It has 10-spoke black HRE alloy wheels, ventilated brake discs, and red Porsche-branded calipers. HRE is a popular ally wheel brand in China. Initially, HRE wheels were imported directly from California. Later on, the company established a sales network in China. In the meantime, creative Chinese ‘entrepreneurs’ produced a massive amount of fake HRE alloys. It can be hard to take ‘m apart, except, perhaps, when you see them on a mass-market Changan or Chery.
Porsche 911 Specifications
The engine of the Porsche 911 Carrera 4S is a 3.8-liter flat-6 with 385 hp (283 kW) and 420 Nm. The gearbox was a 7-speed PDK (DCT), sending horsepower to all four wheels. The top speed was 295 km/h, and 0-100 took 4.5 seconds. The fuel consumption was a steep 11.5 liters per 100 kilometers. Happily, this model had a large 67-liter fuel tank.
The license plate is almost brilliant: 997 for the Porsche 997 911, and S4 for 4S. The rear window wiper is a giant, covering the entire window with ease. The 4S model has two twin-exhaust pipe pipes.
Porsche officially sold the 997 911 in China. In 2020, the Carrera 4S model cost 1.7 million yuan. It was quite a popular car at the time. I have seen dozens of ‘m, but only a few in Malachite Green. Great car!
