Vokswagen Golf GTI Cabriolet Is A Rare German Convertible In China

A Volkswagen Golf GTI Cabriolet, painted in a pretty shade of red with a black convertible roof. It was a brand new car, freshly arrived from Germany. I saw it in 2013 on a small parking lot next to the Liangma River in central Beijing, not far from Volkswagen’s China headquarters. The place was often used by Volkswagen for parking press cars and sometimes even test cars.

Hongqi E-HS3 Is A Cool Chinese Electric Crossover SUV

This is the Hongqi E-HS3, a cool electric crossover SUV from China. I saw it at a Hongqi dealer in the cold Beijing winter in late December 2020. It looked great in red with its huge shiny grille, the Hongqi hood ornament, and pretty alloy wheels.

Audi R8 V10 With A Lucky License Plate In China

A speedy Audi R8 V10, parked at the rear entrance of my old apartment building in central Beijing in 2011. The Audi looked brilliant in blue, and even better was the 京G·K8888 license plates. Eight is a lucky number in Chinese culture, and it matches nicely with R8. The owner has to be a lucky guy! Note the great Wall Voleex C30 in the background, on the right.

Opel Vectra CD 2.0 16V Sedan Looks Sporty In Red In China

A very pretty Opel Vectra CD 2.0 16V sedan, seen in the south of the Chinese capital Beijing in 2015. The good Vectra was painted in an incredible cool shade of red, which was a factory color when the Vectra was new. The five-spoke alloy wheels are original too and give the otherwise not overly exciting sedan a decidedly sporty look.
