A BYD e1 electric hatchback, as seen at a BYD dealer in east Beijing in 2019. The e1 was brand new and painted in a dark shade of red with a black roof. The BYD e1 had just been launched at the time and it was the first one I met.

This has to be one of the rarest cars in China I have ever seen. There are only a few dozen E46 BMW 3-Series coupes in the country. And, as far as I know, this is the only one in red with black license plates and with a manual gearbox! Yes, this sporty little Bimmer is rarer than most Ferraris. I saw it in Beijing back in 2016, and it looked brilliant.

A Toyota HiAce minivan, as seen on the streets of central Beijing in the summer of 2016. The good Toyota was in fine shape, albeit a bit dusty. It was painted dark blue with darkened windows and it still had all the original decals.

A Porsche 911 sports car, seen alongside the Liangmahe river in central Beijing in the winter of 2009. The Porsche was painted in dark blue, at least I think it was because the color was basically invisible because of the dust. It also had a cool matching license plate with the sequence 京C·K1911.

Here we have a cool Xiali 2000 sedan, seen in Beijing in 2016. The good Xiali was painted in a classy gray shade, with darkened windows and sporty alloy wheels. The car appeared to be in fine shape for its age.
