Take this pretty Changhe Ideal for example, a cool Chinese mini car seen in Tai’an in Shandong Province in the summer of 2018. The Ideal had the ideal color, a dark shade of red, with darkened windows and the factory standard wheel covers.

The car stood on a light red carpet, a rather crappy carpet for that matter. And faded. It was once as red as the car, probably, but it had almost turned into pink.
Look at this! A very speedy Volkswagen Jetta, seen somewhere in Hebei Province in 2011. The good Jetta was sexed up to the max with a VW windshield sticker, lowered suspension, an all-around body kit, modified bumpers & grille & headlights, with a partially black hood and darkened windows and extra wide tires with shiny sporty wheels.

A Peugeot 505SX sedan, seen at a fishing port in the great beach town of Nandaihe in Hebei Province in August 2011. The good Peugeot was as dusty as the surroundings but appeared to be in a fine shape, painted in silver with darkened windows, with the original factory wheels, and with a Chinese flag attached to the antenna. Behind the car are fishing boats, fishing equipment, a tractor, and a refrigerated truck.
