An interesting tow, seen on a road in the far north east of Beijing. A third generation Subaru Outback tows a first generation Subaru Impreza.
A silver Opel Astra hatchback, seen on a bridge in Wangjing district in Beijing. The third generation Opel Astra ‘H’ was made from 2004 until 2009 with a small facelift in 2006. Our Beijing car is a pre-facelift example.
This is not a 1960’s Rolls-Royce Phantom V from England. Instead, this is a Jinma QJM5037XLF from China. The nearly seven-meter long limousine was seen in Beijing by Lao Wei, thank you for the pictures!

Production of the B6 Volkswagen Passat in China started in 2003 and ended all the way up in 2011. Over the years it was updated and facelifted several times. The car we have here is a 2007-2009 2.8 V6, the highest spec B6 Passat in China, and probably in the world.

A Saab 9-5 Aero sedan, seen in Beijing’s Wangjing District. The speedy Swede was painted in black and stood on shiny multispoke wheels. It appeared to be in perfect shape.
A big and black Lexus GX470, seen in the far northeast of Beijing. The ‘GX’ name stands for Grand Crossover, according to Lexus marketing speak. That’s fine with me, but I see an off-road capable SUV based on the Land cruiser Prado, a car that nobody would call a crossover.

A beautiful BMW Z4 3.0 si roadster, painted in white with a black top. She is looking speedy with lowered suspension, a black grille, a racy bumper, and big wide wheels with gold alloys.
A super clean W126 Mercedes-Benz 560 SEL. It is painted in light yellow, a typical shade for taxi’s in Germany, and it also has ultra basic wheel covers, and that is typical taxi too. And guess what? There were indeed W126 taxi’s, although I have’t been able to find a 560 SEL taxi.
