Look at this! A very speedy Volkswagen Jetta, seen somewhere in Hebei Province in 2011. The good Jetta was sexed up to the max with a VW windshield sticker, lowered suspension, an all-around body kit, modified bumpers & grille & headlights, with a partially black hood and darkened windows and extra wide tires with shiny sporty wheels.

Time to talk about my favorite subject of all times: beer. Here we have a motorized beer transporting tricycle, seen in June 2011 at a late night market in Beijing. The tricycle was loaded with crates of delicious Tsingtao Dayou (青岛 大优) beer. As you can see, the brand and the type of the beer were printed on the back side of the vehicle. Distribution at its best!
Let’s get back to the story right away: I got a tip from a friend about two Hongqi state limousines gathering dust at a parking garage in north Beijing. Last time I discussed the first car, now it is time for the second. Sadly, it was in a worse shape than the first. Happily, I met the owner.

A beautiful Beijing-Jeep Cherokee XJ 2.5, seen in 2011 in Beijing. The good Cherokee was painted in beige. This was a factory color but almost nobody went for it, so beige Chinese Cherokee’s are very rare. The car was in a good shape when I met it. The gold colored alloy wheels and fog lights were standard on high-spec models.

A Peugeot 505SX sedan, seen at a fishing port in the great beach town of Nandaihe in Hebei Province in August 2011. The good Peugeot was as dusty as the surroundings but appeared to be in a fine shape, painted in silver with darkened windows, with the original factory wheels, and with a Chinese flag attached to the antenna. Behind the car are fishing boats, fishing equipment, a tractor, and a refrigerated truck.

It’s Lindsay Lohan, seen on a poster advertising a magazine in the summer of 2011 in Beijing. The summers are hot in the Chinese capital. Temperature regularly hits 35 °C and can reach 40 on steamy days. Lindsay is properly dressed for the weather, but she still seems sweaty, and seemingly can’t wait to take it all down.
A rare Tianjin Xiali TJ7101L, seen parked near a car market in Beijing in the late autumn of 2017. The good Xiali was a bit dirty but all cars are in that time of year. Happily, it was in a reasonable good shape.

A mighty Hongqi CA770 state limousine, seen in a parking garage in a northern suburb of Beijing in 2011. There were two CA770’s at the location. In this story car #1. The CA770 was covered with a thick layer of dust and dirt but otherwise in a savable condition.

Here we have a cool Bentley Flying Spur sedan, seen in Beijing in 2017. The Flying Spur looked great in ‘Fireglow’ dark red with darkened windows and the factory-standard silver gray 5-spoke alloy wheels.
