A speedy Audi R8 V10, parked at the rear entrance of my old apartment building in central Beijing in 2011. The Audi looked brilliant in blue, and even better was the 京G·K8888 license plates. Eight is a lucky number in Chinese culture, and it matches nicely with R8. The owner has to be a lucky guy! Note the great Wall Voleex C30 in the background, on the right.

A big Bentley Bentayga SUV, seen on a cold winter’s day in central Beijing earlier this month by Friend of the Site Lao Wei, thank you for the photos! The Bentley is parked in front of a small restaurant, protected by yellow-black traffic cones that are a very common sight at road-side parking lots.

A beautiful black Geely Meirenbao sports car, seen in Beijing in 2011. The great Meirenbao was in a great shape, looking almost as new, painted in black with the original alloy wheels. The car was fitted with a racy after-market body kit and a fake air intake on the bonnet.
A very pretty Opel Vectra CD 2.0 16V sedan, seen in the south of the Chinese capital Beijing in 2015. The good Vectra was painted in an incredible cool shade of red, which was a factory color when the Vectra was new. The five-spoke alloy wheels are original too and give the otherwise not overly exciting sedan a decidedly sporty look.

A beautiful fourth generation Honda Accord sedan, seen on a car market in Beijing in 2016. It was in a reasonable shape and very much in need of a good cleanup and some love. The good Honda has a black 京A· 40108 license plate. And that makes it the fourth 4th-generation Accord with such plates that I have seen. Earlier on I met 京A·07472 and 京A·03383 and 京A·04621. But this is the first one in red!

A first generation Mercury Grand Marquis, seen in south central Beijing in 2015. The big American cruiser was in a fine shape, painted in a very dark shade of blue with a black vinyl top and fitted with the original wire wheels.

A Lexus LS400 sedan with black license plates, seen on a small car repair area in north Beijing in 2015. The good Lexus was covered with a thick layer of dust but it didn’t seem abandoned. It was painted in wine red and had its original allow wheels on.
