A bright red Ford Capri sporty car, seen seemingly abandoned in the underground parking lot of the Ikea on the Fourth Ring Road in Beijing. At the time, parking at Ikea was free, no matter how long you parked there, so a lot cars were parked there ‘long term’, or dumped. The poor Capri was dusty and looked like it hadn’t moved for ages.

This is the Jeep 2500, a China-only variant of the Jeep Cherokee XJ. The XJ was made in China by Beijing-Jeep from 1984 until 2009. Over the years the joint venture literally made hundreds of variants.
A beautiful blue Renault Safrane on black license plates, seen in east Beijing. The good Renault was dirty and dusty and appeared to be abandoned. But it wasn’t lost, with some love and maintenance it could be back on the road in no time.
