A very sweet Maserati GranTurismo 4.7L Sport, seen at a car market in Beijing in 2014. The sexy Italian coupe was made considerably more attractive with a shiny pink wrap and darkened head light visors.
A very striking Mk2 Volkswagen Golf GTI, seen by reader Ulrich in Shanghai in 2016. The great Golf is a work of art. It is painted in a very shiny pink with contrasting bumpers, mirrors, door handles, and other trim. The interior is in black leather with pink seatbelts and a pink steering wheel cover.
A very pretty Mini Countryman One, seen sometime in 2010 in the endless Chinese capital Beijing. The big Mini was wrapped in a pink wrap and further dressed up with a pink roof, black pillars, black mirrors, black wheel arches, and darkened windows.
A pretty Volkswagen New Beetle, seen in east Beijing in 2014. The jumpy Beetle was wrapped in a matte pink wrap, and further dressed up with a black Volkswagen badge, a black roof, dark-gray wheels, tinted windows, black mirrors, and cartoon-wrap side skirts.
Here we have a very sweet pinky Porsche Boxster, seen in central Beijing back in 2013. The good Porsche was pink’ed to the max, with a fully pink bdu, pink mirrors, pink A-pillars, and partially pink wheels.
A pretty pink Bentley Continental GT, seen in May 2011 opposite the Opposite House hotel in the Sanlitun bar area in Beijing. I sat on a terrace across the street and there was a big bright sun, hence the somewhat un-sharp picture. Note the flyer under the door handle, which the driver hadn’t care to take away. As far as I could see the driver was a female, with long black hair and large sunglasses.
Pink cars always look good. Proof: Check this pink Hyundai Coupe. Without pink, nobody would see it. Now we do. It is a wrap and the original color was white; note the areas around the door handle and mirror stalk.
The second generation Hyundai Coupe was made from 2002 until 2008, with facelifts in 2005 and 2007. Our pinkie is a pre-facelift example. The Coupe was sold in China from 2004 until 2007. It was available with a 140 hp 2.0 and with a 170 hp 2.7 V6.
They were quite popular and quite a few are still around today, most of them modified in one way or the other.
