A speedy Audi R8 V10, parked at the rear entrance of my old apartment building in central Beijing in 2011. The Audi looked brilliant in blue, and even better was the 京G·K8888 license plates. Eight is a lucky number in Chinese culture, and it matches nicely with R8. The owner has to be a lucky guy! Note the great Wall Voleex C30 in the background, on the right.

A super speedy Acura NSX, seen at a car repair shop in Shunyi District in Beijing in 2016. The good Acura was in a good overall condition but it looked a bit dirty and a bit tired, like it had been ignored for a time too long. Happily, mechanics were working on the car while I was there, so I guess it came back on the road again.

An orange and apparently brand new Lamborghini Gallardo, seen on the parking lot of my apartment complex in Beijing in 2011. It is a first generation car but it looked like new, with perfectly bright paint and shiny wheels. It also didn’t have a license plate, so it may have been a recent import fro elsewhere.

This wild supercar is a perfect example of the second generation Aston Martin Vanquish. Production started in 2012 and continues until today. This example is painted in a dark shade of gray and finished with red detailing.
