Audi R8 V10 With A Lucky License Plate In China

A speedy Audi R8 V10, parked at the rear entrance of my old apartment building in central Beijing in 2011. The Audi looked brilliant in blue, and even better was the 京G·K8888 license plates. Eight is a lucky number in Chinese culture, and it matches nicely with R8. The owner has to be a lucky guy! Note the great Wall Voleex C30 in the background, on the right.

A very speedy Ferrari GTB Fiorano, seen in Beijing in 2011. The good Ferrari seemed brand new and didn’t even have license plates yet. It was painted in a shiny shade of black with a matte gray roof and a silver racing stripe over the bonnet, roof, and rear.

Qiantu K50 Is A Rare Chinese Electric Super Car

A Qiantu K50, seen by my good friend Joachim C. in the great city of Suzhou in Jiangsu Province. The K50 is painted in a pretty smurf blue and further sexed up with darkened windows and black wheels. The Qiantu K50 was made by a company called Qiantu Motors, which in turn was a spinoff of the automotive technology company CH Auto. After a long and complex development period, the Qiantu K50 finally hit the market in 2018.

Spyker Arrives In China In 2004

Back in the summer of the great year 2004, I was invited to the launch event of Dutch supercar maker Spyker in China. The company shipped in a beautiful Spyker C8 Spyder, painted in purple with a red-beige interior. It was unveiled to the media at the capital’s famous Zhengyangmen Gate.
